About STEPHEN
Stephen is a certified coach and teamwork facilitator who helps professionals navigate career transitions with confidence and clarity. Prior to coaching, his professional focus was managing customer experience and technical writing teams, as well as overseeing localization as an organization’s internal sponsor. He holds a bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering and a masters in Technical Communication, as well as certificates of study in yoga (RYT200) and coaching (ICF ACC).
Stephen spent 12 years in technical start-ups in the US and Germany, before pivoting into coaching. His own life and career shifts have given him firsthand insight into reinvention, making him a strong advocate for lifelong learning and career resilience.
Through his business, &joy Coaching, since 2022 he has supported professionals in navigating industry and life shifts, overcoming uncertainty, and defining sustainable career and life paths. Although born in Germany as an American citizen, he was raised in the US and has lived in Berlin since 2017. He is fluent in English, used to know Spanish well, and today continues to learn German.
