She worked with pharmaceutical companies, contract research organizations, medical journals, and software developers as a freelancer. Before going freelance, Ekaterina worked in a medical translation agency as a project manager.
Ekaterina created mymedpharm.info, a knowledge hub for medical translators and writers.
She delivered several courses for medical translators at TranslaStars and was invited by ATA to deliver a webinar on the recent developments in medical translation in 2024.
Ekaterina is a confirmed speaker at MedTranslate conference in October 2025.
Pablo Mugüerza

Since 2009 he has presented more than a hundred workshops, courses and conferences in both English and Spanish, in person and online, in many countries in Europe and in North and South America. Currently, he is a consultant for the terminology unit of the Spanish Royal National Academy of Medicine and for Evidera. In 2025 he has been invited as the keynote speaker at the Encuentro universitario de traductores at Universidad Autónoma del Estado de México in September and as a presenter a the MedTranslate conference in Mulhouse (France) in October.
In December 2024 he presented his own dictionary of translation EN>SPA of medical terms, a revolutionary work with almost 11 000 terms in May 2025.

With over 30 years of experience, Doris is a seasoned linguist specialising in interpretation, translation, and language education.
She offers extensive expertise in medical and public service interpreting as a keynote speaker, lecturer, consultant, and mentor. Doris provides consecutive and simultaneous interpretation via telephone, video, and remote platforms, covering medical, legal, educational, and community sectors across the UK and EU in Portuguese, French, Italian, Spanish, and English.
Her professional background includes multilingual translation, linguistic quality assurance, localisation, and content creation for social media, life sciences, and academic texts. She has worked as a multilingual LQA specialist, précis writer, reviser, and copywriter.
A dedicated language educator, Doris has held leadership roles as a language school proprietor, Director of Studies, and senior tutor for English, Spanish, French, and Portuguese.
A CIOL DPSI Level 6 candidate (Health and Law), ITI affiliate, and HIPAA-compliant interpreter, she is also the co-founder of Medtalks with Doris and Kathrin, advancing standards in medical interpreting.

Is it mandatory to attend the live sessions?
We understand we all have personal and professional commitments and we allow students to take the master's program at their own pace. So you need to cover all the content to get the final certificate but there is no need to attend all sessions live.
All live sessions get recorded and they are uploaded shortly after to the platform, and you can enjoy them when you want and as many times as you want. There are no time limits or due dates.
