Courses - General Information

The information on courses in this section,
refers to courses purchased individually and not to subscription plans.

1. Who are TranslaStars courses for?

Our courses are aimed at all language professionals (translators, philologists, linguists, etc.) or language lovers who want to take their skills to the next level on specific fields of knowledge.

2. What are TranslaStars courses for?

TranslaStars' courses are intended for you to train in certain specialties to become a better language professional.

If we look at things another way, when you get your driver's license, you have the right to drive, but you are not an expert in driving (something you learn little by little).

TranslaStars courses (mainly the ProD+T and ProD+L ones) develop your skills as a language professional by giving you feedback and an evaluation that helps you improve with each project and prepares you for the real world of translation.

Always check the conditions of our courses before enrolling.

3. Are TranslaStars courses only available online?

Yes, inn fact, you can do them from wherever you want and at your own pace.

Always check the conditions of our courses before enrolling.

4. If I pay the cost of a course and then I can't do it, do I get a refund?

The payment of the course implies that you have read our conditions. Unfortunately, we cannot refund the amount paid for the courses because we have to pay the agreed percentages for students to instructors, managers, etc.

Always check the conditions of our courses before enrolling.

5. How much time do I have to finish a course?

The courses are done at your own pace. We do not impose a time limit for you to finish them.

In the case of the courses with online paid training, you must have completed the course before you can start with the paid projects. In this type of course, if after one year since you enrolled you still haven't obtained your certificate, you will be able to continue doing the course, but you will lose the right to do the paid training part.

Always check the conditions of our courses before enrolling.

6. What languages are used in the courses?

Courses on the .com site are mainly delivered in English, however there can be courses with specific language combinations (if that was the case, you would find all the information in the course description).

Always check the conditions of our courses before enrolling.

7. Why is it sometimes not possible to purchase a course? Why are some courses closed?

Sometimes we close courses because we have reached the maximum number of students we can manage in those courses (mainly in ProD+T and ProD+L courses), because we are updating them and/or because they are not yet ready to be launched.

Always check the conditions of our courses before enrolling.

8. How does the course refund work if it does not meet my expectations?

We allow you to take the first three units of any course (within 14 days) without obligation (third unit included). If upon completion of the third unit (or earlier) of the course you have chosen, its structure and contents do not match your interests, just send us an email to [email protected] explaining the reason and we will refund you the course fee.

Always check the conditions of our courses before enrolling.

9. Do your prices include VAT?

Education is exent of VAT in Spain, so our prices do not include VAT.
As for EU users, as it is an intraeuropean service, VAT is not applicable.

ProD+T Courses - Assessed Training

1. What is the training about in ProD+T courses?

ProD+T courses offer tutor assessed training (you can do it from wherever you want) after the completion of the course.

We have reached agreements with tutors who offer these projects and training, and provide you with feedback and evaluate all your projects (you will work with real projects that were completed and finished by your tutors) so that you can learn from real world examples and apply everything you have learned during the course alongside an experienced professional.

These projects are a trial period for you to fearlessly put into practice what you have learned (don't be afraid of making mistakes, we all do, but that's what tutors are for, to identify what can be improved on, to show you how, and for you to learn from the experience).

Always check the conditions of our courses before enrolling.
