Ekaterina Chashnikova
Ekaterina is a medical writer and a medical translator for the combination English-Russian.
At the 4th year of pharmacy school, she started translating medical publications and fell in love with translation. She later studied linguistics and translation in a 2-year university program for specialized translators.
She worked as a project manager in translation agencies and became a freelancer by the end of 2010.
As freelance translator and auditor, she supported approvals and launches of drug products and medical devices for pharmaceutical companies and medical device manufacturers. She currently works as a medical writer and content creator (CME/CE and publications) in a contract research organization.

Ekaterina moderated a medical writing track at a ChatGPT hackathon in April 2023 and continues to explore practical uses of LLMs in translation and localization. She has been working as trainer and evaluator of generative AI tools since July 2023.
Over the years, she spoke at translation conferences and kept a blog about medical and pharmaceutical translation. She continues sharing her knowledge and expertise on mymedpharm.info, a hub of internet resources and knowledge, using a team of AI agents.
