EXPERT COURSE

Workflow Automation with Make for Localization

From repetitive manual tasks to reliable, no-code automated workflows

Stop Doing by Hand What a Machine Can Do for You

Every localization team loses hours to the same invisible work: moving files between tools, converting formats, chasing status updates, copying details into trackers and sending the same notifications over and over. None of it is hard, and none of it needs a human. The question is simple: why spend your time on tasks a machine can do? This course answers it by teaching you to automate that work yourself, with no code.

Automation Is Becoming a Core Localization Skill

According to Nimdzi Insights, the language services market exceeds $68 billion, and the teams pulling ahead are the ones that connect their tools instead of clicking between them. No-code platforms like Make (formerly Integromat) put that power in the hands of localization professionals, not just engineers. Learning to build automations is fast becoming one of the most valuable, time-saving skills in the industry.

A Hands-On Course Where You Build Real Automations

This is a practical, build-as-you-go course. Across three sessions you will go from understanding what automation is, to designing and testing your own scenarios in Make, to connecting any app through HTTP, APIs, and webhooks. You will leave able to automate real tasks in your own localization workflow.

Course Description

What Is This Course About?

Localization runs on repetitive, manual steps, and that is exactly what automation is built to remove. In this hands-on course you will learn to design, build and run your own automation scenarios in Make, the no-code platform that connects the tools you already use. Starting from the basics and finishing with HTTP, APIs and webhooks, you will turn slow manual processes into reliable automated workflows that save time and reduce errors.

What You Will Build

By the end of this course, you will have built multiple automation scenarios in Make, from a simple file monitoring workflow to a complete multi-platform localization handoff. You will also develop a decision framework for choosing what to automate, what to augment, and what to leave to human judgment.

Course Format

This is a hands-on, live course delivered as three 2-hour sessions. Each session combines live demonstrations with hands-on exercises where you build and test automation scenarios in real time. Sessions 2 and 3 are fully hands-on. The course is delivered in English, and no coding or prior automation experience is required.

Why Make?

Make (formerly Integromat) is the leading no-code automation platform that connects 2,000+ apps. Unlike coding-based solutions, Make lets you design visual workflows with drag-and-drop modules, making it accessible to anyone in localization — project managers, operations leads, linguists — not just developers. The skills you learn transfer to any automation platform and are immediately applicable to your day-to-day work.

Key Insight: Automation is not about replacing people — it is about removing the repetitive work so localization professionals can focus on what needs human judgment: strategy, quality, and client relationships. The teams pulling ahead in the $68 billion language services market are the ones that connect their tools instead of clicking between them.

Who Is This For

📂

Localization & Project Managers

Drowning in manual file handling, status updates, and follow-ups who want to hand that busywork to a machine.

🔗

Localization Operations & Program Leads

Who want to connect their TMS, cloud storage, and communication tools into smooth, automated workflows.

🛠️

Localization Engineers & Tech-Curious Linguists

Who want a no-code way to build integrations, including through HTTP and APIs.

🚀

Freelancers & LSP Teams

Who want to scale their output and capacity without scaling the manual effort behind it.

💡

Technology Managers

Evaluating automation platforms and deciding where no-code workflows fit in their localization tech stack.

🤔

Anyone in Localization

Who keeps thinking "there has to be a faster way to do this".

Note: Delivered in English across three 2-hour sessions. No coding or prior automation experience is required. All three sessions are highly interactive through the live chat.

What You Will Learn

Master the principles of workflow automation: triggers, actions and scenarios

Use Make (formerly Integromat) to design, test and schedule automation scenarios step by step

Manage data with modules, bundles, iterators, aggregators, filters and routers

Understand operations and how to keep your scenarios efficient and cost-effective

Connect any app with HTTP, APIs, webhooks and mailhooks, even without a native integration

Calculate the ROI of automation and build a decision framework for what to automate

Build complete, production-ready automations you can apply immediately

Requirements & Setup

Computer Requirements

Any modern computer with speakers and a stable internet connection will work. Sessions 2 and 3 are hands-on, so a second monitor is recommended but not required.

What You Will Need

  • A computer with speakers and a stable internet connection
  • A Zoom account (free tier is sufficient)
  • A free Make account (make.com). Create it before the course starts.
  • A text editor or a notebook and pen

Preparation (Optional but Recommended)

  • A few repetitive tasks from your own localization workflow that you would like to automate
  • These are used in the brainstorming and hands-on exercises

Prerequisite Knowledge

This course assumes:

  • Basic understanding of localization workflows and how content moves through a team
  • Familiarity with digital tools (cloud storage, email, spreadsheets)
  • No coding background required. Make is a no-code platform.

Tip: You can attend all three sessions live from wherever you are, and lifetime access to the recordings and session materials is included with your place. The free Make tier is sufficient for all exercises.
