EXPERT COURSE

Mastering Trados Studio

From Translator to Translation Power User

Go Beyond the Basics with Trados Studio

You already know how to translate. Now it is time to make your tools work as hard as you do. Every day, professional translators lose valuable time because they use only a fraction of what Trados Studio can actually do. Manual formatting, repetitive terminology searches, inefficient project handling, and underused quality assurance features all add up to hours of unnecessary work and lost income.

Designed for Translators Who Already Know the Basics

This Intermediate Trados Studio course is designed for translators who already know the fundamentals and want to work smarter, faster, and with greater accuracy. Rather than focusing on isolated features, the course teaches practical workflows that you can immediately apply to real translation projects.

What You Will Gain

You will learn how to make better use of translation memories, terminology databases, AutoSuggest, quality assurance, project management features, filters, and productivity tools that many users never fully explore. Small improvements in workflow can save minutes on every file, which quickly becomes hours over the course of a week or an entire year.

Built by a Translator, for Translators: This is not a software demonstration. It is practical training based on the everyday challenges faced by professional translators and language specialists. Every lesson is designed to help you reduce repetitive work, avoid common mistakes, improve consistency, and deliver projects more efficiently.

Course Description

Trados Studio is packed with powerful features, yet many professional translators use only a small portion of what the software can actually do. This intermediate-level course is designed to bridge that gap by focusing on practical techniques that improve productivity, consistency, and translation quality in real-world projects.

Rather than revisiting the basics, the course explores advanced workflows that help you work faster, reduce repetitive tasks, and make better use of the resources already available within Trados Studio. Every topic is presented from the perspective of a professional translator, with practical examples and immediately applicable tips.

During the course, you will learn how to:

  • Perform automatic terminology verification and quality assurance checks with confidence
  • Build efficient QA workflows that help detect errors before delivery
  • Understand professional review workflows and best practices
  • Fine-tune project settings to match different project requirements and avoid common pitfalls
  • Take full advantage of Translation Memories, Segment Fragments, and AutoSuggest to increase speed and consistency
  • Work more efficiently with updated document versions using PerfectMatch (time permitting), reducing unnecessary manual work and dependence on project administrators
  • Discover practical productivity techniques, workflow optimisation strategies, and smarter ways of handling placeables and repetitive translation tasks
