Course Description

In two focused hours we move from the strategic landscape of AI in localization down to the specific components of a working pipeline. We look at how to combine process automation, context retrieval, premium machine translation, and AI assisted quality management into one coherent flow, while keeping humans in control of the decisions that matter most.

Specifically, you leave able to:
  • Map any localization workflow against the four pillars of a responsible AI deployment.
  • Tell the difference between premium MT, fine tuned LLMs, and hybrid approaches, and know when each fits.
  • Recognize where retrieval augmented generation belongs in a translation flow, and where it does not.
  • Place automated quality estimation and AI checks without displacing human review where it matters.
  • Identify the integration points between TMS, MT, LLM gateways, terminology systems, and review tools.
  • Spot the governance gaps that turn a promising AI deployment into a risk.

No coding background is required. Familiarity with TMS, MT, or CAT environments will help you go deeper, but anyone fluent in localization can follow.

Resources

This is a live session, not a hands on workshop, so the setup is light. To get the most out of it, please come prepared with:
  • A stable internet connection and a device where you can take notes alongside the live stream.
  • Optional: a localization workflow you currently run or oversee, sketched out at a high level. We use real examples during the Q and A, anonymized or open data is perfect.
  • Helpful background reading: any recent industry overview of AI in localization (CSA Research, Nimdzi, or Slator all publish solid pieces). No reading is required.
  • English at a B2 level or higher, since the session is delivered in English.
