About AYLA
Ayla Carazo is a former nurse with extensive experience working in hospitals and health centres, where she gained firsthand clinical knowledge and expertise that now informs her translation work. Driven by a passion for international cooperation, she transitioned into project management for NGOs across 3 different countries, managing health-related initiatives and broadening her global healthcare perspective. Seeking to perfect her language skills and bridge the gap between clinical practice and communication, she pursued the master’s degree in Medical and Healthcare Translation, completing a full circle and becoming an technical translator.
Since 2019, Ayla has been the co-founder and lead medical translator at JYC Translations, specialising in women’s health and OBGYN. In addition to translating, Ayla manages projects at JYC Translations, coordinates teams and workflows tailored to healthcare professionals, patients and companies worldwide.
