Stephen Nock
Stephen is an ICF-accredited coach and teamwork facilitator who helps leaders, teams, and professionals who want to do better work - and live better lives - in a complex, changing world. He holds a bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering and a masters in Technical Communication from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, as well as certificates of study in yoga (RYT200) and coaching (ICF ACC).
Stephen spent over a decade in fast-paced technology start-ups across the US and Germany, leading customer experience teams, managing localization and technical writing, and working alongside engineers and scientific experts in complex, mission-driven environments. His own experience as a manager—across cultures, offices, and teams—helped him develop a toolkit of skills and resources that most managers never learn. Today, through &joy Coaching, he creates experiences that shift how people see themselves, each other, and the work they’re doing. Whether it’s a manager stepping into leadership, a team navigating change, or a cohort of high-potential talent, Stephen helps you build clarity, calm, and emotional intelligence. Although born in Germany as an American citizen, he was raised in the US and has lived in Berlin since 2017. He is fluent in English, used to know Spanish well, and today continues to learn German.
